Welcome to mama eats, a weekly newsletter inspired by a simple + seasonal home life. This week’s post, April at the market, is free to all readers. I try to provide as much free content as possible, however, this newsletter is a labor of love and I am a busy mother of three. If you have the means and find value in what I share, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
April is here, and with it all the delights of spring. There is a palpable swell of life all around us, like an orchestra building to a crescendo; birdsong, blossoms, leaves budding out on trees in fresh, almost neon, green. The first flush of roses bursting forth in bloom and festooning the yard like so many fluffy garlands for a party. Wildflowers dotting the fields, roadsides, and hills, turning the landscape into an impressionist painting when seen from afar.
“Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.”
Rainer Maria Rilke
